Here at Grand River Coonhounds we believe in getting youth involved!
So we have come up with a program that will allow us to help give back to our sport and our sports future!
Once a year we will be giving away a REDBONE puppy from one of our TOP crosses to a youth handle FREE of Charge!
We love seeing our youth with the caliber of dogs it takes to win! And love to watch youth win with our hounds!
So if you know a youth that would be interested in applying, have them or their parents fill out the questionnaire below and submit an essay or video!
Stipulations!
************ Parents MUST BE INVOLVED *************
** Grand River's will stay in the name of the dog
** Marissa Turner will remain sole signatory on the dog UNTIL the dog is a GRCH or GRNITECH after that the dog will be signed over to the youth.
** If ever unable to keep the dog, he or she is to come back to Grand River.
** Must be able to provide PROPER care to the dog at all times, including food and veterinarian care.
Parents are responsible for getting the puppy hauled/ or picked up
WE WILL STAY INVOLVED WITH THE DOG & YOUTH
HELPING ANYWAY WE CAN, BEING A MENTOR ETC
Youth are ask to write at least a 2 page essay OR reasonably long video explaining what they will be doing with the puppy and why we should choose them!
Ideas to include-
What you like to do in the dog world and outside the dog world
What you plan to accomplish with the dog
How you take care of or will help take care of the dog
How you plan to train the pup/dog
Who you have to help you along the way
Your previous accomplishments with dogs
