Grand River Coonhounds is a small kennel, We DON'T BREED FOR PROFIT like MANY puppy mills found on the internet ( buyer beware ) . We also do not breed for strictly PETS, although these dogs do make OUTSTANDING pets, we want to keep what we are producing in the woods & ring! We DO sell to pet homes but DO NOT breed solely on raising pets, like MANY do. We feel strongly about the development of the breeds, and what they are bred to do. 

Our kennel sits outside the small town of Locust Grove. We are not a big fancy kennel, but our hounds are all worked with and get hands on attention every day. Also, unlike most what you see on our website is what you get. We post all our hounds and what all they have accomplished. We DON'T believe in just " breeding or brood " dogs. ALL the dogs we raise and breed are the dogs we compete with all across this great nation and are VERY special to us. 

We got started when I ( Marissa Turner ) got my first Redbone Dixie, i got her as a pet and later learned what all can be done with these wonderful hounds. Soon i began showing them and I was hooked! After about a year of showing i started to get into the hunting side of it and now a little over 8 years into it I, hunt, show and train these wonderful dogs. We are very happy with all we have done and appreciate all the positive comments we acquire at ever show and hunt we attend, we are beyond blessed.
